Our Weekly Update

Highland,

As the years pass by, they speed up, don’t they? Is August already ending? It seems that it was just March and we were moving into our new home. Nonetheless, it’s been a life-changing season for us, Highland.

How I relish in seeing us grow together, even while traversing trials, the Lord’s strength meets us in our weakness. Let us maintain our grateful posture, Highland, spending our lives on the good of each other and the glory of our Lord.

This Sunday, we continue through our Spiritual Warfare Series. We have two texts left to cover, Highland. As we near the end of our series, we will be tackling a book of the Bible. As I pray and prep, I am between a few books, asking the Lord’s plans to prevail. Join me in asking the Lord for His direction for us.

Back to this Sunday, though, we will be tackling James 3:13–4:8. We will hit this passage with a wide glance, drawing from James how to handle relationships with others. The spiritual-realm around our relationships certainly bears influence. James notates this clear evidence and highlights them for us. He then offers us a Biblical tactic so as to know how to recognize and avoid the snare of the enemy.

update from david klaus

Highland, so many of you have come around the Klauses and their ministry in Myanmar, and several of you are now in regular contact with Myanmar kingdom pioneers yourselves! For anyone interested in hearing more inspiring stories from the emerging underground church in Myanmar, David Klaus will be hosting a "Myanmar: State Of The Kingdom" interactive Zoom call on Thursday, Sept. 19th from 8:30-9:30pm. You'll learn some context for what's happening in Myanmar, how the body of Christ is adapting, and how you can meet and pray for Myanmar pioneers personally without ever needing to buy a plane ticket. Register for the Zoom call here.
